About
I am a software engineer with 7+ years of experience building full-stack applications across e-commerce, insurance, fleet management, healthcare and financial products. Today I work at Alamy on the engineering of the Alamy.com purchase journey, across multiple frontend and backend services built with TypeScript, Next.js, NestJS, AWS and Commercetools.
Before Alamy, I spent over four years at Innovation Incubator and Cyber Sapient building products in very different domains — real-time drilling dashboards made of independently deployed micro-frontends, a digital lending platform integrated with credit bureaus, fleet tracking on Kafka and Elasticsearch, and booking platforms for home healthcare. Moving between them taught me to get up to speed on a new problem quickly and to work comfortably on either side of the API.
My workflow has grown alongside AI tooling, from ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot to Claude Code with skills, agents, hooks and MCP integrations, which leaves more of my time for problem decomposition, architecture and code review. What I care about most is software that is reliable, scalable and easy to maintain.

The Alamy.com purchase journey, across multiple frontend and backend services.
- Contributed to the migration from the legacy .NET stack to the modern platform, followed by new commerce capabilities across the purchase flow.
- Contributed to a new checkout experience — guest purchase, login at checkout, tax handling and discounts — and implemented the Stripe payment integration.
- Contributed to subscription capabilities, extending the commerce platform to support subscription-based purchasing.
- Designed and implemented a BullMQ-based migration framework that moved users and companies into Commercetools through queued jobs, preserving user data, permissions, discounts and credit accounts.
- Implemented server-side shopping cart processing through a centralised Proxy API, with shared validation, error handling and cart lifecycle management across cart types.
- Modernised order processing by moving validation and storage off the legacy .NET API, using feature flags, monitoring and AWS SQS for automated retries.
